SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
The Clarendon Fund Scholarship is one of the major graduate scholarship for international students at the University of Oxford. The scholarship has about 400 scholars currently and they come from about 70 different nations.
The Clarendon Fund Scholarship aims to give an opportunity to academically talented students to immerse themselves in the academic and professional networks, social relations and cultural insights in United Kingdom.
All nationalities all over the world are eligible to apply for this scholarship. There are 140 Fully funded scholarships available.
ELIGIBLE COURSES:
The Clarendon Fund Scholarship funds all Masters and PhD courses offered at the University of Oxford. Please note that there is no quota allocated to a specific course, therefore, all programs are considered equal. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
All applicants must meet the following criteria;
- A good academic record is considered essential (A GPA overall score of at least 3.7 out of 4). Please note that most Clarendon fund successful applicants have a GPA score higher than 3.7. An excellent Master’s degree performance can compensate the GPA obtained in the first degree
- Academic results on the transcripts and university prizes or awards can be used to show academic excellence
- Academic information on your overall position within your cohort of the previous degree and any publications (For those who have ever published)
- The candidate’s ability to complete the proposed program will be evaluated by looking at their academic references, research proposal submitted and the possibility of the applicant to contribute significantly to their chosen field of study
- Applicants must be highly motivated. The motivation will be evaluated using the candidate’s personal statement and referees’ recommendations.

NB:
- Funding is also granted to students who are currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Oxford and are considering applying for a DPhil/PhD
- All applicants who apply to pursue a master’s or PhD course at the University of Oxford by the January 2019 deadline, will be automatically considered for the Clarendon Fund scholarship funding
