Columbia University was founded in 1754. Originally, it was named King’s College after George II, who chartered the school. The school was renamed after the revolutionary war. The website doesn’t really specify how much scholarships and what types of scholarships will be given to graduate students. However, many universities give fully funded scholarships to every PhD students, and I am sure that Columbia gives fully funded scholarships to a majority of their PhD students.
