The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) provides full MS and PhD scholarships for distinguished graduate applicants who demonstrate high potential for conducting original research in the fields of Engineering, Sciences and Business.

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) is a leading educational organization for science and technology. Since that time, the University enrollment has grown to more than 10000 students.

Scholarship Description:

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Graduate Studies (Masters & PhD).
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the fields of Engineering, Sciences and Business. Currently, the university offers 37 Master programs and 15 Doctoral programs in 31 different disciplines. For a complete list of all available programs, please see KFUPM Masters and PhD programs.
Scholarship Award: KFUPM provides full MS and PhD scholarships for distinguished graduate applicants who demonstrate high potential for conducting original research in the fields of Engineering, Sciences and Business.
Number of Scholarships: The University currently offers 30 Master programs and 10 Doctoral programs in a full range of traditional disciplines, as well as interdisciplinary programs that anticipate market trends and respond to national needs.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:
Eligible Countries: Scholarships are available for Saudi and international graduate students.
Entrance Requirements: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:The minimum requirements for possible admission in Master programs in engineering or sciences are as below:
A four-year Bachelor’s (B.S.) Degree in engineering or science from a recognized institution with a major in the proposed field or evidence of suitable background for entering the proposed field.
A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent, and a GPA of 3.00 in the subject of the major field. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for final admission.
Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 68 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code is 0868). IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0).
Acceptable General Graduate Record Examination (GRE), which should also be reported directly (KFUPM code is 0868). (Minimum required GRE score is Quantitative: 156, Analytical: 4.0 and Verbal:143)
At least three letters of recommendation from the faculty who taught the applicant university-level courses. [to be submitted through the online recommendation system]
Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.
The minimum requirements for possible admission as a regular graduate student in a Master program in Business Administration are as follows:

A four-year Bachelor’s (B.A., B.S. or B.E.) Degree in business, engineering or sciences fields from a recognized institution.
A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for final admission.
Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 68 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code is 0868). IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0).
Completion of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 450. The GMAT scores must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies (KFUPM code for GMAT is 0868).
At least three letters of recommendation from the faculty who taught the applicant undergraduate courses. [to be submitted through the online recommendation system]
At least one course in college-level calculus which covers both differentiation and integration subjects.
A working knowledge of computers as evidenced by at least one course in that area (e.g. data processing, programming, information systems, etc.)
At least one-year of full-time work experience. This requirement may be waived for graduate assistants, research assistants, and applicants with exceptional academic records. For Executive MBA program, a minimum experience of 8 years, including 3 years in mid or upper-level managerial position.
Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.
The minimum requirements for possible admission to the PhD Programs as a regular graduate student in engineering or sciences are as follows:

An M.S. degree in engineering or science from an institution whose graduate programs are equivalent to those of (KFUPM), with a major in the proposed field or evidence of suitable background for entering the proposed field.
A minimum GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent in both the B.S. and M.S. degrees. Official transcripts and degree certificates are required for admission.
Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score for MS admission of 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT) or 79 (IBT). The TOEFL score must be sent directly to the Deanship of Graduate Studies. The KFUPM code is 0868.IELTS is also acceptable [min 6.5]
Completion of General Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with the acceptable score.
At least three letters of recommendation from the faculty who taught the applicant graduate courses.
Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.
English Language Requirements: All local and international applicants provisionally approved at KFUPM need to submit the required test score(s) (GRE/GMAT and/or TOEFL) to Admission Office within one year of the initial application date at the latest.

Copy of identification (National ID for Saudi nationals / Passport for international applicants / Iqama for residents ofSaudi Arabia).
Complete official transcripts for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
Statement-of-Purpose (a one-page essay focusing on career and research goals).
Recommendation Letters from 3 Professors through the online recommendation system after submitting the online application.
GMAT scores for MBA program (for international applicants).
Other supporting documents (needed for final admission decision)

Certificates for BS degree and MS degree (if applying to PhD).
TOEFL score (min. is 68 iBT for MS and 79 iBT for PhD).
Acceptable GRE General score (min. Quant. is 700, min. Analytical is 3.0).
Upon approval, original/certified copies of degree certificate(s) and transcript(s) are to be sent through postal mail.
